definition
g-force is a measurement of an object's acceleration expressed in gs. It is proportional to the reaction force that an object experiences as a result of the net effect of this acceleration and the acceleration imparted by natural gravity.
The g (pronounced /ˈdʒiː/) is a unit equal to the nominal acceleration of gravity on Earth at sea level (standard gravity), which is defined as 9.80665 m/s2 (32.174 ft/s2).
